Ask God for more.

"One day when she came to Othniel, she urged him to ask her father for a field. When she got off her donkey, Caleb asked her, 'What can I do for you? She replied, 'Do me a special favor. Since you have given me land in the Negev, give me also springs of water.' So Caleb gave her the upper and lower springs." - Judges 1:14-15 (New International Version)

Back in June I read an article in a magazine that really started to challenge my thinking around money & provision. So much so that, after reading it, I was like, ok God if this is true and I should be coming directly to You for my needs instead of "technically" going to money / myself / my business, etc, I need You to prove it to me so that I know that this revelation I've received is true.

So, in July I asked Him for $700 to cover a specific need before the end of the month and I released it to Him to cover it however He saw fit (instead of me handling it however I normally would). Love, don't you know He covered it AND THEN SOME? Over $900 came in out of the blue from an unexpected bulk book order & two unplanned coaching sessions. Then, just for kicks I guess, a $3k refund I had been waiting on for months finally came in. Coincidence? Maybe, but I'll take it!

Now I know $700 isn't a lot of money, but when God intentionally provides it to answer your very specific prayer and adds extra just to make a point? It hits different. As it all started to sink in, that God alone truly is my source—not money, not my business, not MYSELF or what I can do with my own two hands—you wanna know what I started to feel?

The overwhelming sense to ask God for more!

Just like Caleb's daughter did in our scripture this week. She knew her dad's pockets ran deep and, when she saw how it was nothing for Him to give her the land she'd asked for, she decided to shoot her shot for some springs of water too! Because why not!? He got it don't he?! God is Caleb in this passage, Love; ask Him for what you want! I've now made a whole list of needs & desires to ask Him for mm kay!?

And, because this is a new mindset shift for me, I'm going to work on building my faith in this area by picking one small thing from my list each month to ask God for and leaving the "how" up to Him. When God gives you a revelation, you gotta practice that thing until it becomes lifestyle. I share all this in hopes that something in this testimony speaks to you and that maybe you'll even join me in trying this out in your life too. If you try it, let me know how it goes!
